Here are some of the places that we either regularly shop at or are specialty shops we thought might be interesting.
Kaupahalli
Kaupahalli is excellent. It is only a few blocks from our house, right next to Sokos department store. They have dozens of specialty shops and small cafe-style restaurants. Almost everything we have ever gotten there was excellent. Here you see a full-service butcher (but extremely expensive by American standards).
This lady is selling any kind of olives, feta cheeses and other specialty items. I bought some feta and kalamata olives from here to put into my moroccan/greek couscous salad.
This bakery is excellent and the girls quite often stop here on the way home from school to get a roll or some pastry.

At this butcher's you get any kind of sausage.
Fresh fish is for sale here.
Just one of the many open, cafe-style restaurants you can eat at. This one is French and a little bourgeois. I prefer the stand that sells meat and potatoes.
